The Summer CATS Camp started June 7 with nearly 350 students participating. Due to the impact of “summer slide” and now “COVID slide," the CATS camp is a great way to help students overcome those challenges.
Summer CATS Camp provides an experiencial learning experience that includes field trips to Deerassic Park, the Wilds, the City Park and visits from COSI on Wheels, the Cooking Caravan and the Columbus Zoo.
Working with partners like Deerassic Park, the Guernsey County Library, the United Way of Guernsey County and Muskingum Valley Health Centers, the camp is able to provide an exciting learning experience that enhances the classroom work that is also being done.
In addition to the the curriculum and teachers, the district also provides transportation to students and our food services provider, the Nutrition Group, provides breakfast and lunch.
